Ged Brannan is a former professional footballer and current football manager, born on January 15, 1972. He began his career as a trainee before making a significant impact at Tranmere Rovers, where he made 303 appearances and scored 25 goals. Brannan's debut for Tranmere Rovers came on October 22, 1990, against Mansfield Town. His performances in midfield eventually led to a transfer to Manchester City in 1996 for a fee of 750,000. In addition to his time at Tranmere Rovers and Manchester City, Brannan played for Wigan Athletic and had a stint in the Scottish Premier League with Motherwell. After hanging up his boots, Brannan transitioned into management, taking on the role of assistant manager at Accrington Stanley and managing Morecambe.
